Q: Who is Simply Green and how can they help?

Simply Green helps Canadian homeowners upgrade their furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, water filtration, and air filtration systems to provide healthier homes that use less energy.

Q: How do I know I should upgrade my furnace / AC?

Your furnace, air conditioner, and water heating systems make up 50-75% of your home’s energy costs, so making them more efficient will help you save money and reduce your carbon footprint. Generally, equipment that is over 10-15-years-old signals a potential need to upgrade; however, a Simply Green technician can provide a detailed assessment of your equipment. As the technology has advanced, the government has upgraded the housing codes and some old equipment may be behind code and time for an upgrade.

Q: Why is leasing high-efficiency equipment better than buying?

Leasing high-efficiency equipment (which includes a full maintenance program) is a great service for homeowners, because it:

  • Saves homeowners from large, upfront installation and equipment costs
  • Provides homeowners with expert technical service 24-7
  • Provides homeowners low monthly payment options
Q: Does leasing from Simply Green support my local businesses and community?

Of course! Not only does Simply Green employ local sales and installation technicians, but we’re always looking to expand our sales team with representatives from the local region. Along with that, a portion of our profits does go to local charities.

Q: What is ENERGY STAR® and why does it matter?

ENERGY STAR® is the international symbol of premium energy efficiency. Simply Green’s top-of-the-line heating and cooling equipment carry ENERGY STAR® certifications. Look for the ENERGY STAR® label to save money on your energy bills and help protect our environment.

Q: What is Simply Green’s relationship to Enbridge, Fortis BC, and other utilities?

Simply Green Home Services is not owned by, or affiliated with, Enbridge Gas Distribution, or any other gas distributor. Nor is Simply Green affiliated with any government agency. Utilities such as Enbridge provide your home with natural gas, and do not offer equipment rentals. Simply Green has an “Open Bill Agreement” with Enbridge Gas Distribution, which simply allows you to consolidate your rental fees with your gas expenses on one bill.

Q: What happens to my old equipment when I upgrade with Simply Green?

If your old equipment is leased, Simply Green will return it to your old provider, free of charge. If it’s owned by you, we can dispose of it, free of charge, or leave it for you to keep (most people don’t know how to dispose of equipment properly, so we don’t mind doing it for you).

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

Leasing payments are usually billed through Pre-Authorized Debit from any leading financial institution, unless in Ontario, where you can choose to have your payment consolidated with your Enbridge Gas Distribution bill. For purchases or buyouts, we accept cash, cheques, all major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express).

Q: What should I do if I have a technical issue?

Please give us a call at 1-800-764-5138 and speak with one of our client care representatives. We have a 24-hour emergency service line available for our clients.

Q: How can I refer a friend?

Our clients are a constant source for new business, because they appreciate the quality of service we provide. Please give your friend our 1-800-764-5138 phone number or give us theirs and we’ll have one of our reps contact them! We track our referral sources and will include you in our regular referral program bonuses (which change from time to time).

Q: What if I want to stop my leasing program?

Give us a call and we’ll have one of our managers run you through your options. Cancelling the leasing program does remove the unlimited warranty, and free, 24-hour emergency service line.

Q: Is my personal information kept private?

Of course! Please feel free to review our privacy policy.

Q: What happens to my leasing equipment if I move?

In the event that you move, give us a call and we can review your options and assist you in transferring the lease to the new homeowners.

Q: Help! I lost my sales agreement!

Don’t worry! We keep copies of all agreements. If you need another copy, we can mail, email, or fax it to you, free of charge.

Q: What does Simply Green’s warranty cover?

Simply Green is proud to offer an extended warranty on all of its rental equipment, which covers all parts and labour for the duration of the lease. If we deem the equipment is past its useful life, we will replace it!
